At Ulis, AI is integrated throughout our work. We use it in concept research, visualization, presentation, project management and the everyday running of the business.

AI is part of how we research, design, visualize and run the studio.

During concept development, it helps us explore possible settings, combinations of materials and treatments of light. As a project develops, we use it alongside 3D to refine and communicate ideas.

Each stage still involves decisions: which direction fits the brief, whether a material feels appropriate and whether an image represents the product correctly. We select, check and refine what goes into the work.

This practice also connects to our founder’s other projects. Sébastien Ollier teaches AI to designers through the AI for Designers masterclass and runs aifordesigners.io, an app for designers and furniture brands.

Designing, teaching and developing tools keep us engaged with the practical questions of using AI in design. Ulis is where those questions meet commercial projects.
